St. Louis, MO (January 22, 2026) – A three-vehicle accident along westbound Interstate 70 at Lindbergh Blvd resulted in injuries to two drivers on Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred around 4:20 p.m. and caused significant traffic disruptions as emergency responders worked to treat the injured and clear the scene.
According to information from Troop C, the crash began when a 2019 Nissan Maxima, driven by a 44-year-old woman from Jefferson City, failed to maintain a safe distance and rear-ended a 2024 Honda Accord that had slowed ahead. The impact caused the Honda, driven by a 62-year-old man from St. Louis, to collide with a 2024 Nissan Versa in front of it.
Emergency medical services from Pattonville responded promptly. Both the driver of the Maxima and the driver of the Accord sustained injuries and were transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for evaluation. The driver of the Versa, a 25-year-old woman from St. Louis, was uninjured and able to drive away from the scene.
The Maxima suffered total damage and was privately towed by Yaffo’s Towing. The Accord sustained moderate damage and was removed by Bolins Towing, while the Versa only had minor damage and did not require a tow.
Authorities are continuing to review the incident, and motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the area due to temporary lane closures during cleanup.
We extend our thoughts to the injured parties and wish them a smooth and swift recovery.
