Los Angeles, CA (January 27, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision on the westbound I-10 just west of Maple Ave led to injuries and significant traffic disruption Sunday night, as confirmed by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was first reported around 8:17 p.m. and involved at least three vehicles, including a gray sedan that came to rest sideways in the right lane. Emergency communications indicated that airbags were deployed in at least one vehicle, and one party was reportedly trapped inside. Los Angeles Fire Department crews were requested and responded swiftly to assist the injured.
Lanes three and four were blocked as first responders worked to manage the scene and provide medical attention. At least one person was transported to a local hospital, though the number of injured parties and the extent of their injuries have not yet been publicly confirmed.
Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway, and traffic delays continued late into the evening. Some initial reports suggested one of the vehicles may have been driving recklessly prior to the crash, but officials have not confirmed that detail.
