Oceanside, CA (January 29, 2026) – A 65-year-old woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her parked vehicle was struck by another car in a residential neighborhood in Oceanside, according to emergency dispatch information.
The incident occurred on January 28 at approximately 12:33 p.m. along Teal Way. The woman, who works as a caregiver, had just parked her car when another vehicle rear-ended her at low speed. Though the external damage to the vehicle appeared minimal, responders noted a broken rear axle as a result of the impact.
The woman sustained a superficial laceration to her right forehead and complained of head and neck pain following the collision. She remained conscious and alert at the scene and reported no loss of consciousness. Emergency medical personnel assessed her condition and prepared her for transport.
Her vital signs showed a slightly elevated blood pressure of 170/90 and a heart rate of 110 bpm with sinus tachycardia. She was not on blood thinners and did not report any underlying medical conditions apart from hypertension. EMS fitted her with a cervical collar as a precaution and transported her via BLS Unit 126 to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation.
A second individual involved in the crash declined medical treatment and was released after signing an AMA (Against Medical Advice) form.
We wish the injured woman a smooth recovery and commend the quick response of the local EMS team.
