Waterville, ME (February 24, 2026) – There has been an update with newly released information confirming the identity of the person who died following a crash at a gas station in Waterville. The fatal accident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Main Street at the Big Apple convenience store.
Police said a car driven by Richard Moyen, age 70, of Strong, was turning onto Main Street when it struck another vehicle. The second car was driven by Kenneth Hughes, age 57, of Waterville.
Emergency units responded to the scene and provided care following the collision. Richard Moyen later died from injuries suffered in the crash. No additional information has been released regarding the other driver’s condition.
