What Happens After a Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash?
Hit-and-run crashes involving pedestrians often begin with emergency calls from witnesses. Responders focus first on medical care, especially when injuries such as fractures are reported. Victims may require surgery and extended recovery time.
After the scene is secured, investigators gather statements and review available evidence. This may include nearby surveillance video, vehicle debris, or witness descriptions. Identifying the driver can depend on how quickly information is collected and shared.
