Houston, TX (March 11, 2026) – Two women lost their lives, and two others were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Houston’s Galleria area on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to the crash in the 4600 block of Post Oak Place Drive after receiving reports of a serious collision.
When investigators arrived at the scene, they found two vehicles involved in the crash: a Tesla Cybertruck and a white Buick sedan. Authorities reported that both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage. According to investigators, two women involved in the crash died as a result of their injuries. Two other women were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment following the collision.
Lt. Larry Crowson said preliminary findings suggest that the driver of the Buick may have failed to stop at an intersection, leading to the crash. Investigators also noted that speed may have been a factor in the Cybertruck. The Houston Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the women who lost their lives in this tragic crash.
Intersection Crashes Can Lead to Severe Consequences
Intersections are among the most common locations for serious traffic collisions because vehicles frequently cross paths while traveling in different directions.
When drivers fail to stop at traffic signals or misjudge the speed of oncoming vehicles, the resulting impact can occur at high force. This is especially dangerous when vehicles strike each other from the front or side at an intersection.
Roadways such as Post Oak Place Drive often experience steady traffic flow in busy urban districts. Investigators reviewing intersection crashes typically examine traffic signals, vehicle speeds, and driver actions to determine how the collision occurred and whether any violations contributed to the incident.
