Crotona Park East, NY (March 14, 2026) – Authorities responded to a reported rear-end crash on Friday evening in the Crotona Park East neighborhood of the Bronx.
According to initial reports, the collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 174th Street and Boone Avenue in Crotona Park East.
A video from the Citizen appeared to show a white Toyota RAV4 with heavy front-end damage, partially lodged beneath a gray SUV in front of it.
Officers with the New York City Police Department responded to the crash scene to assess the situation. Authorities said the department’s NYPD Collision Investigation Squad was initially called to the location, but later canceled the response.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear.
