What Is Reviewed After a Fatal Highway Hit-and-Run
After a fatal crash on a highway, several factors are often reviewed to better understand what occurred. Investigators typically examine the pedestrian’s position, vehicle movement, and lane placement at the time of impact. These details can help build a clearer picture of how the crash happened.
Physical evidence from the roadway, including debris and tire marks, may also provide insight. In cases involving large commercial vehicles, inspection of the truck and its condition may be part of the process. Information from witnesses or nearby cameras can also support the timeline. Each piece of evidence helps form a more complete understanding of the incident.
