Why House Fires Can Be So Deadly
Residential fires can escalate rapidly, especially during the early morning hours when occupants are sleeping. Smoke spreads quickly and can cause life-threatening conditions even before flames reach people. Early detection, such as smoke alarms, and clear escape routes are critical in preventing fatalities.
Firefighters work to control flames and search for trapped individuals, but intense heat and heavy smoke can make rescues extremely difficult. House fires often require coordinated efforts from multiple fire departments and emergency units to ensure safety and minimize further risk.
