Osceola Township, WI (April 6, 2026) – A single-vehicle rollover crash on Monday morning in the Township of Osceola left a 57-year-old woman critically injured.
The crash occurred around 10:48 a.m. along U.S. Highway 45 near N3357. Authorities said the vehicle left the roadway, struck a driveway embankment, and overturned.
Emergency responders arriving at the scene found the driver trapped and unresponsive. A deputy, assisted by bystanders, was able to remove the woman from the vehicle and began CPR after determining she was not breathing. The woman regained breathing shortly afterward.
She was transported by ambulance to Theda Care Regional Medical Center–Neenah with life-threatening injuries. A medical helicopter was requested but was unable to respond due to weather conditions.
Investigators believe the driver may have experienced a medical episode prior to the crash. U.S. 45 was temporarily closed for about 45 minutes while crews worked at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as they become available. We are thinking of the injured as she recovers.
How Medical Emergencies Can Contribute to Vehicle Crashes
Medical incidents behind the wheel can lead to sudden loss of control. Conditions such as fainting or other health emergencies may cause drivers to veer off the road.
When a vehicle leaves the roadway, it can encounter obstacles like embankments, increasing the risk of rollover crashes.
Quick response from first responders and bystanders can be critical in these situations, especially when immediate medical aid is needed.
