Why Head-On Collisions Often Result in Severe Injuries
Collisions between vehicles traveling in opposite directions are among the most dangerous types of crashes. The combined speed of both vehicles significantly increases the force of impact, putting passengers at greater risk of serious injury or death.
Children are particularly vulnerable because car seats or seat belts may not fully protect them from high-speed impacts. Even relatively small vehicles can sustain heavy damage in head-on crashes, affecting survival chances. Prompt emergency response is crucial to providing medical care and improving outcomes for those injured.
