What Is Typically Reviewed in Late-Night Pedestrian Crashes on Highways?
Pedestrian crashes on highways are often reviewed with a focus on visibility and roadway conditions. Lighting levels and traffic speed can affect how quickly a driver can see and respond to someone on the road.
Investigators also examine where the pedestrian was located at the time of impact. This includes whether they were crossing lanes or walking along the roadway.
Vehicle movement and lane position are also considered. These details help establish how the collision occurred and how the pedestrian came into contact with the vehicle.
