What Are the Risks Associated with Heavy Equipment on Construction Sites?
Construction sites often involve the use of heavy machinery such as telehandlers, cranes, and forklifts, which are essential for moving large and heavy materials. However, these machines also present significant risks if loads are not properly secured or if equipment is not operated correctly.
Falling materials are one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in construction environments. Workers in close proximity to active equipment are especially vulnerable if safety protocols are not strictly followed.
Proper training, routine equipment inspections, and clear communication on job sites are critical to preventing these types of incidents. Safety measures such as maintaining safe distances and securing loads can help reduce the risk of tragic accidents.
