We hope the four people injured receive the care they need and make a full recovery.
Afternoon Roadway Crashes Create Multiple Injury Concerns
Afternoon crashes at highway intersections can become serious when vehicles approach from different directions. Drivers may be watching traffic gaps, lane markings, signs, and turning movements while other vehicles continue through the same crossing.
When several people are riding in one vehicle, a single collision can leave multiple occupants needing medical care. Seat belts and airbags may reduce some injury risks, but people can still experience head, neck, chest, or back trauma from the force of impact.
Highway intersections in smaller communities can also carry steady traffic during daytime travel. After an injury accident, reviews usually focus on vehicle direction, speed, road surface, traffic control, and where each vehicle was before the collision.
