Albuquerque, NM (January 14, 2026) – Emergency units responded to a traffic collision involving injuries on Monday afternoon at the intersection of San Mateo Boulevard NE and I-40 East in Albuquerque. The crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. on January 12 and prompted a response from Engine 13 and Rescue 13.
Initial reports classified the incident as a “29 Bravo 1” event, indicating a motor vehicle crash with confirmed injuries requiring medical attention. Responders arrived quickly at the scene to assess those involved and provide care.
The collision impacted traffic in the area as crews worked to stabilize the scene and assist victims. While details regarding the number of vehicles involved or the severity of injuries remain limited, at least one person required evaluation by paramedics.
