Bloomington, IN (January 14, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a major collision involving as many as six vehicles on January 11 near State Road 45 and South Dunlap Rd in Bloomington. The crash occurred around 11:01 a.m., affecting the area near West Leonard Springs Rd and West Eller Rd as well.
Units from Engine 29, Battalion 22, and Ambulance 29 were dispatched to the scene under Operations Channel One. Upon arrival, responders found multiple vehicles with varying degrees of damage and began evaluating those involved for injuries.
While the exact number of injured individuals has not yet been confirmed, at least one person was reported hurt. Medics assessed patients at the scene, and traffic was heavily impacted while crews provided care and worked to clear the roadway.
Authorities have not released details regarding the cause of the crash, but weather or traffic conditions may have played a role given the number of vehicles involved.
