ALLENTOWN, Lehigh County, Pa., Nov. 1, 2026 — A 53-year-old woman died early Saturday morning, October 31, after she was struck by a car at Hamilton Street and Race Street in Allentown, according to Allentown police.
The crash happened around 5:09 a.m. near the intersection. Officers who arrived at the scene dispersed a large group that had gathered and appeared disorderly. The woman was taken to St. Luke's Sacred Heart Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene. Allentown Police are investigating the crash and have not released further details on what led up to it. Hamilton Street was closed between American Parkway and 4th Street while officers worked the scene.
