The crash was reported around 8:26 p.m., and dispatch audio indicated that one of the vehicles, a Chevy Sonic, was heavily damaged. Initial reports also suggested the possibility of a person trapped inside one of the cars.
Medical personnel confirmed that a 21-year-old female occupant was injured in the crash. She was conscious and breathing at the scene but bleeding from the face and in need of medical care. Responders worked quickly to reach the patient and address the vehicle obstruction on the roadway.
