Anderson County, SC (May 15, 2026) – A motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Anderson County early Friday morning.
Emergency units responded around 12:30 a.m. to the intersection of Hwy 413 and Haynie Dr near Belton after reports of a collision. Investigators said a Chevy pickup was traveling south on Hwy 413 and was attempting to turn east onto Haynie Dr when the crash occurred.
At the same time, a motorcycle was traveling north on Hwy 413. The motorcycle and the turning pickup collided in the intersection, resulting in fatal injuries to the motorcyclist.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene. Officials did not release additional details about the people involved or whether any other injuries were reported.
Traffic in the area was affected while emergency units worked at the scene and gathered information about the crash. Few additional details were immediately available Friday morning.
