Chain-Reaction Crashes Following Initial Collisions
Mixed-use streets like Pershing Drive and Division Street may involve varied speeds and traffic types. When injury accidents occur in Ansonia, responders often adjust traffic patterns while assisting those involved and clearing hazards from the roadway.
Crashes that begin with a hit-and-run can sometimes lead to additional collisions if a fleeing vehicle continues traveling through busy streets. Sudden movements, high speeds, or loss of control may increase the chance of another crash.
Secondary collisions can also involve multiple vehicles or roadside objects such as utility poles. When a vehicle strikes fixed structures, the impact may cause fires or severe damage, increasing the risk of serious injuries to occupants.
