Arlington, TX (January 9, 2026) – A 56-year-old man was injured on Friday morning in a vehicle collision on Matlock Rd and was transported for evaluation after experiencing chest pain following the crash.
The incident occurred around 11:54 a.m. in the area of Arlington. Emergency responders from Medic 8 were dispatched to the scene, where the man, who had been driving approximately 40 miles per hour at the time, reported that another vehicle pulled out in front of him, causing a crash. Airbags deployed, and the vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage.
According to medics, the man was alert, able to exit the vehicle on his own, and was walking at the scene. He denied hitting his head or losing consciousness but reported chest wall pain, rating it at six out of ten. Vitals taken by paramedics showed a heart rate of 75 bpm, blood pressure ranging from 150/93 to 100/93, and oxygen saturation at 98% on room air.
The patient was classified as a Priority 3 transport and was expected to arrive at a nearby medical facility within minutes for further evaluation.
The Arlington Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional injuries or contributing factors have been confirmed at this time.
