Newport News, VA (August 15, 2026) – A vehicle-pedestrian crash near Jefferson Avenue and Brick Kiln Boulevard in Newport News left a child hospitalized on Thursday afternoon, August 13. Authorities were called to the scene around 3:31 p.m.
The police said an adult woman was leaving a daycare when her vehicle made contact with one of the children. Officers arrived and found the child at the scene. The child was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional details about the child or the circumstances of the crash were immediately available.
