Why Do Dirt Bike and Vehicle Crashes Result in Severe Outcomes?
Collisions involving dirt bikes and passenger vehicles can be especially serious due to differences in size and protection. Riders have little physical protection compared to occupants inside vehicles.
Roadway visibility and traffic conditions can also play a role. In busy urban areas, sudden movements or unpredictable riding patterns can increase the risk of impact.
Enforcement and roadway rules may also factor into investigations, especially when multiple off-road vehicles are present in street environments not designed for them.
