Berkeley County, WV (April 15, 2026) – Four people were injured following a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Berkeley County.
According to West Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 3400 block of Back Creek Valley Rd.
Authorities reported that the vehicle, a white Buick Verano, traveled off the roadway, went over an embankment, and came to rest in standing water.
Emergency crews were advised that three occupants were trapped inside the vehicle while another had been ejected. Responders worked to rescue those inside and provide medical assistance at the scene.
One of the victims was transported to Berkeley Medical Center, while the other three occupants were airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment.
The extent of injuries has not been fully disclosed, but all four individuals required medical care.
Officials stated that alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash.
