Venice, FL (September 12, 2026) – A 79-year-old woman was injured in a bicycle accident at Hatchett Creek Bridge in Venice. Emergency units were at the scene, and the roadway was temporarily blocked while the woman received medical attention on Thursday, September 10.
The patient was reported to have sustained trauma and was taken by air ambulance after a flight was arranged to pick her up at the airport. All lanes have since reopened, according to the initial report.
