Salt Lake City, UT (August 27, 2026) – A man riding a bicycle was killed on Tuesday evening, August 25, in a crash involving a car at the intersection of 1000 East and 800 South in Salt Lake City. The collision happened shortly before 6:15 p.m.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the bicyclist struck the car. The man on the bicycle died from his injuries.
The police said the intersection would remain closed while the department’s critical crash team investigated the scene. Authorities continue reviewing the crash.
