Titusville, FL (August 25, 2026) – A teen bicyclist was injured on Monday morning, August 24, after a crash involving a vehicle near James Madison Middle School. The incident happened around 9 a.m. as a driver was leaving the school parking lot.
Detectives said the bicyclist was riding on the sidewalk and crossing the school’s exit driveway when they encountered the vehicle. The bicyclist tried to stop to avoid a collision, fell from the bike, and slid underneath the vehicle. The bicyclist was not physically run over by the vehicle, according to the police.
The teen was alert after the crash and reported minor injuries. As a precaution, the bicyclist was airlifted to a local trauma center for evaluation. The driver was cited for failing to stop. No other injuries were reported.
