How UTV Rollovers Can Lead to Severe Injuries
UTV rollovers can be especially dangerous, particularly when riders are not secured inside the vehicle. These vehicles are often used on uneven terrain, where sudden turns or changes in surface can cause a loss of balance. When a UTV overturns, occupants may be thrown from the vehicle, increasing the chance of serious injury.
Factors such as speed, sharp turns, and roadway conditions can all affect stability. Even on relatively flat surfaces, losing control can result in a rollover if the vehicle shifts weight quickly.
Safety features like seat belts and protective frames can help reduce harm during a crash. Staying seated and properly secured may lower the risk of being ejected in the event of a rollover.
