Why Vehicle–Moped Collisions Often Lead to Serious Injuries
Crashes involving mopeds and larger vehicles often result in significant injuries due to the limited physical protection for the rider. Even at lower speeds, the impact force can be severe.
Intersections can increase risk when vehicles cross paths from different directions. Limited visibility, timing errors, and failure to yield are common factors in these types of collisions.
Because mopeds are smaller and less visible than standard vehicles, drivers may not always detect them in time to avoid a crash. Road awareness and careful turning movements are key to reducing these incidents.
