Cape Girardeau Co, MO (February 4, 2026) – An accident involving two vehicles and resulting in injuries was reported on Tuesday evening, February 3, along MO-V approximately six miles east of Fruitland in Cape Girardeau County. The incident occurred at about 6:08 p.m. and prompted a response from local authorities and medical personnel.
Initial information indicates the collision involved a 2014 Ford Edge and a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the area at the time of the accident. The impact led to moderate damage to the Ford, which required removal from the scene by a towing service. The Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away.
Emergency responders from Cape Girardeau County arrived to secure the roadway and assist those involved. A 38-year-old female driver of the Ford was found suffering from a variety of injuries following the collision. Paramedics provided care at the scene before transporting her by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for further treatment. No additional injuries requiring transport were reported.
