Horry Co, SC (August 30, 2026) – One driver was killed and three other people were taken to a hospital after a three-vehicle crash on Friday evening, August 28, on Middle Ridge Avenue near West Perry Road in Horry County. The collision happened at approximately 5:27 p.m.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a southbound 2014 Ford sedan crossed left of center and sideswiped a northbound 2017 Nissan sedan before striking a northbound 2007 Mazda SUV.
The Mazda driver died in the crash. Two passengers in the Mazda were taken to a local hospital, while the Ford driver was also transported for treatment. The Nissan driver was not injured. Investigators continue reviewing the collision.
