Understanding Rollover Crashes on Rural Roads
Rollover crashes often happen when a vehicle loses control at higher speeds or overcorrects after leaving the roadway. Vehicles with a higher center of gravity, such as SUVs or trucks, are more prone to rolling in these situations.
Ejections significantly increase the risk of fatal injuries, especially if occupants are not wearing seat belts. Road conditions, visibility, and driver actions all play a role in how a rollover unfolds. Even single-vehicle crashes can result in severe outcomes due to the force and dynamics involved.
