Cass, MO (January 8, 2026) – A motorcyclist was injured following a collision with an SUV Wednesday morning at Crown Park and E Cambridge Rd in Cass County. The crash occurred at approximately 11:52 a.m. and involved a 2009 Yamaha R1 and a 2025 Chevrolet Blazer.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident unfolded when the Yamaha, heading eastbound, cut through a yard and struck the northbound Chevrolet. The motorcyclist, a 37-year-old male from Belton, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained injuries. He was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center by the Belton Police Department for medical care. The motorcycle was towed from the scene due to damage.
The Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 48-year-old Belton man, sustained moderate damage but was able to be driven from the crash site. He was properly restrained and reported no injuries.
Troopers C. J. Drum and T. S. Lutjen, along with the Belton Police Department, assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
