Charlotte, NC (January 11, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to an injury accident early Friday morning in east Charlotte. The crash was reported at approximately 1:20 a.m. on January 10 near 2803 E Independence Blvd, close to the Eastway Dr intersection.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to assist those involved. At least one person sustained injuries and was treated on-site. The individual may have been transported to a nearby hospital for further care, though the severity of injuries has not been confirmed.
Traffic in the area was affected as crews worked to manage the scene and clear debris from the roadway. The number of vehicles involved and the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
