Chesapeake, VA (January 21, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle accident with entrapment early on Wednesday morning near Hanbury Rd E and the Chesapeake Expressway.

The crash was reported at approximately 4:46 a.m. and prompted an immediate upgrade in response due to reports of entrapment. Fire and rescue teams, including multiple engine and medic units, were dispatched to the scene to assist those involved.

Crews arrived to find at least one occupant trapped inside a vehicle. Extrication efforts were initiated while medical personnel evaluated the individuals on site. Details regarding the number of vehicles involved and the condition of the victims have not yet been confirmed.
