Chesapeake, VA (January 23, 2026) – A serious motor vehicle accident involving entrapment occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Exit 296A from I-64 East onto George Washington Hwy in Chesapeake. The incident led to a heavy emergency response and temporary traffic disruption in the area.
The crash was reported at approximately 12:35 PM on January 21. Multiple fire and EMS units, including Engine 3, Medic 3, Ladder 2, Battalion 1, Rescue 1, Engine 24, EMS 1, and Medic 5, were dispatched to the scene.
