At approximately 9:26 a.m., dispatch communications indicated that Engine 6 had arrived at the scene and established Centerville Command. The crash involved two vehicles and was confirmed to have resulted in injuries, though the total number of people hurt has not yet been disclosed.
The accident occurred on January 3, near a stretch of Centerville Turnpike S that passes through residential zones and local landmarks such as Centerville Baptist Church. The area frequently experiences moderate through-traffic, making it a known zone for sudden stops and merging hazards.
