Crashes Involving Box Trucks Can Lead to Serious Injuries
Collisions involving box trucks and passenger vehicles often result in significant damage because of the difference in vehicle size and weight. Occupants inside smaller vehicles may face a greater risk of injury during impact.
Intersections like Beach Road and Qualla Road can become dangerous when vehicles approach from different directions or attempt turns at the same time. Larger commercial vehicles may also require longer stopping distances, especially during sudden traffic changes.
When serious injuries are reported, medical helicopters may be used to quickly transport patients to trauma centers. Emergency crews also work to stabilize the scene, assist multiple patients, and remove damaged vehicles before traffic can safely resume.
