Chicago, IL (January 8, 2026) – Emergency personnel in Chicago responded to a reported hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at the intersection of W Lawrence Ave and N Leclaire Ave on the night of January 7. The collision was reported around 9:09 p.m. and involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian before leaving the scene.
Ambulance 73 responded to provide immediate medical aid to the injured pedestrian. The individual was later transported from the scene, though their condition has not been officially confirmed.
Police units remained in the area to gather evidence and canvass for additional details. At this time, no information about the suspect vehicle has been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
