Why Motorcycle and Bicycle Crashes Can Result in Serious Injuries
Motorcycles and bicycles offer less protection than enclosed vehicles, making riders and cyclists more vulnerable in a crash. Even at low speeds, contact with the roadway or another vehicle can cause significant injuries.
Reviews of these crashes often consider road conditions, visibility, traffic movement, and the actions of everyone involved. Investigators may also examine vehicle positions and available witness information to better understand how the crash happened. These details can help explain the factors that contributed to the collision.
