Adelphi, OH (June 4, 2026) – A child died on Wednesday evening, June 3, after a two-vehicle accident in Ross County. The accident was reported around 7:53 p.m. on State Route 327, south of Adelphi in Colerain Township.
Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2008 Ram 1500 were involved in a head-on collision. Four people were hurt in the wreck.
The Malibu driver, from Laurelville, was flown to a Columbus hospital with unknown injuries. Another young passenger in the Malibu was also flown to Columbus, though that person’s condition was not released.
A second child passenger was taken to Chillicothe Adena Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead. The Ram driver, a Circleville man, was taken to a Chillicothe hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under review as investigators continue working to confirm the details.
