Van Nuys, CA (August 26, 2026) – Three people were taken to hospitals after a California Highway Patrol SUV and a Honda sedan collided at Tyrone Avenue and Oxnard Street in Van Nuys on Monday, August 24. The crash happened around 2:57 a.m.
Two CHP officers and the man driving the Honda were transported by ambulance after reporting pain. Both officers were treated and released, while the available report did not provide the condition of the Honda driver. The CHP SUV slid into the wall of a building after the collision.
The cruiser sustained damage to its right-front and left-side doors, while the red Honda Accord sustained major front-end damage. This is a developing story.
