Chula Vista, CA (January 13, 2026) – A woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision on January 11 in Chula Vista. The incident occurred around 5:27 p.m. near the intersection of North Greensview Dr and Park Meadows Rd, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
Multiple 911 calls were made reporting a pedestrian lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers determined the victim had been hit by a vehicle that fled the scene before emergency personnel arrived. The Chula Vista Fire Department responded and performed life-saving efforts at the location.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of her family. Authorities have not provided a description of the vehicle or the driver involved, and no arrests have been made at this time.
