Clarendon County, SC (February 21, 2026) – Two people died Friday, February 20, after a crash along Greeleyville Highway near Bay Shadow Drive in Clarendon County. The collision happened around noon, according to authorities.
Officials said a 2015 Toyota Sienna was traveling north on Greeleyville Hwy when it struck a log attached to a disabled Western Star truck with a log trailer. The truck was unoccupied and stopped in the northbound lane at the time of the crash.
After hitting the log, the Toyota traveled off the right side of the roadway and crashed into a tree. Both the driver and passenger inside the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
No additional details about what led to the truck being disabled in the roadway were provided. The incident remains under review by authorities.
