Coolspring Twp., PA (March 5, 2026) – A deadly crash late on Tuesday night, March 3, in Coolspring Township left one woman dead and a man seriously hurt. The accident happened along Franklin Rd just east of Johnston Rd.
Reports state that 60-year-old Kimberly A. Lawson of Franklin, Pennsylvania, was driving east on Franklin Rd. At some point, her vehicle failed to follow a right-hand curve in the roadway.
The vehicle then struck a road sign before continuing into a nearby ditch. The impact sent the car airborne before it crashed into a utility pole.
Lawson died at the scene of the accident. A man who was inside the vehicle at the time suffered suspected serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Reports also indicate that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Additional information about the injured man has not yet been released.
