Single-Vehicle Crashes Can Occur for Several Reasons
Single-vehicle crashes often happen when a driver loses control of the vehicle. This can be caused by factors such as speed, road conditions, or sudden maneuvers. Curves, intersections, and rural roads may increase the risk.
Environmental conditions can also affect how a vehicle handles. Wet pavement, loose gravel, or poor visibility may make it harder to stay on the road. Even a brief loss of traction can lead to a crash.
Vehicle condition and driver focus also play a part. Mechanical issues or distractions inside the vehicle can reduce reaction time. When control is lost, the outcome can be serious, especially if the vehicle leaves the roadway or strikes an object.
