Colorado Springs, CO (August 15, 2026) – One person may have suffered life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash Thursday night, August 13, at Highway 24 and 21st Street in Colorado Springs. The collision occurred shortly before 9 p.m. when a westbound vehicle crossed the median and struck another vehicle head-on.
Medical personnel were already treating those involved when officers arrived. Three people were taken for medical care, while two others received treatment at the scene and were released. Traffic was shut down in both directions for more than three hours while the crash scene was cleared. Police said it remains unclear whether speed, alcohol, or drugs contributed to the collision.
