Cromwell, CT (February 2, 2026) – A serious injury accident involving two vehicles was reported Sunday afternoon along Route 372 in Cromwell. The collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. in the 90 block of Berlin Rd, directly in front of the Lowe’s store, and led to a significant emergency response.
Fire and medical crews arrived to find two vehicles heavily damaged following the collision. Two individuals sustained serious injuries in the accident. Paramedics provided medical care at the scene before transporting both injured parties to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Their injuries were described as serious but non-life-threatening.
Due to the severity of the crash and the location along a busy commercial corridor, Route 372 was closed in both directions while responders worked to assist the injured and clear the roadway. Crews remained on scene for an extended period as vehicles were removed and the area was made safe for travel. The roadway reopened at approximately 6:00 p.m.
