Decatur, GA (July 25, 2026) – A cyclist was hurt in a crash at the intersection of Church St and Lucerne St in Decatur on Thursday, July 23.
The crash happened around 11:32 a.m. A Ford C-Max was traveling north on Church St. while a rider was also heading north in a designated bike lane. The driver turned right into Glenlake Park and moved into the cyclist’s path, causing the wreck.
The rider was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver received a citation related to the crash. The review into the circumstances surrounding the collision remains ongoing.
