Dayton, OH (January 20, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Sunday night to a vehicle collision with injuries near the intersection of Oxford Ave and Salem Ave in Dayton, in the vicinity of Powers Park and the Esplanade neighborhood.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. on January 18. According to dispatch audio, the incident involved at least one vehicle and prompted a response from local fire and EMS units. Upon arrival, responders found individuals requiring medical attention and provided care at the scene. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
Traffic in the area was temporarily impacted as crews worked to manage the scene, assist the injured, and clear debris from the roadway.
The Dayton Police Department is handling the investigation into the cause of the crash. Officials have not yet confirmed contributing factors or the number of people involved.
